Peach Tart

Ingredients

 

For tart:

1½ cup flour

6 tbsp butter

¼ tsp salt

60 gm powdered sugar

Cold water

For filling:

6 peaches (chopped)

1/5tsp cinnamon powder

1/5tsp grated nutmeg

100 gm sugar

2 tsp cream (beaten)

2 tsp strawberry jelly (prepared as per instructions)

1 tsp mixed fruit jam

 

 

  

Method:

 

      To prepare a tart:

 

 

  1. Mix flour, butter, sugar and salt and rub it to form bread like crumbs.
  2. Add water and make firm dough. Keep aside for 20 minutes covered in a cloth.
  3. Now roll out a big chapatti from the dough and line it in a tart mould.
  4. Bake it for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degree.
  5. Let it cool.

For the filling:

   1. Mix peaches, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar in a pan.

   2. Heat till sugar melts. . Keep in fridge and cool.

   3. Mix jam and jelly.

 

      To serve:

          1. Pour a tsp of cream on the base of the tart.

          2. Now pour a tsp of jelly. Pour a spoon of peach filling.

          3. Garnish with dry red and green cherries and serve cold immediately.
