Mocha Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

1 cup maida

200 gms milkmaid

½ cup milk

75 gms butter

¼ cup cocoa powder

¾ tsp baking powder

¾ tsp baking soda

1 tsp vanilla essence 

 

For mocha icing:

4 tsp cocoa powder

2 tsp butter

1 tsp coffee powder

1 cup powdered sugar

¼ cup coke

  

Method:

 

  1. Sieve maida, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder.
  2. In a separate bowl mix butter and sugar and beat well. Add milkmaid and beat well.
  3. Now gradually add maida and milk and beat for 6-7 minutes.
  4. Pour the mixture in a greased cake tin and bake it in a pre heated oven for 40 minutes.
  5. Let it cool. Then slice the cake horizontally in two parts.
  6. Pour coke on the lower part and cover it.
  7. Mix all ingredients of icing and spread it over the cake.
  8. Let it cool and then serve
