Butterscotch Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

150gms maida 100gms butter (softened) 100gms castor sugar 50gms cocoa powder 1 tsp baking powder 100gms milk powder 100gms butterscotch crunch 1 tsp vanilla essence Milk, as required Chopped dry fruit to garnish  

Method:

1. Sift the maida, cocoa powder, milk powder and baking powder. Keep aside. 2. Beat the butter and sugar with a hand blender until light and fluffy. 3. Add maida mixture and vanilla essence and mix lightly with a wooden spatula. 4. Add milk if the batter is too thick. 5. Keep aside little butterscotch crunch for garnishing and add rest to the batter. Mix with a light hand. 6. Preheat the oven at 180 degree. Grease a baking tin. 7. Pour the cake batter in the baking tin. 8. Cook in the pre heated oven for about 40 minutes. Check by inserting the skewer in the cake. If it comes out clean then the cake is ready. 9. Garnish with chopped dry fruit and butterscotch crunch.
