Darbari Dal

Ingredients

arrow1/2 cup dhuli masoor dal.
arrow1/2 cup dhuli moong dal.
arrow2 tbsp arhar dal.
arrow2 tsp ghee.
arrow1/2 tsp green chilli (choped).
arrow1 tsp jeera.
arrow1 onion (choped).
arrow1/2 tsp kasoori methi.
arrow1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste.
arrow2 tomatoes (chopped).
arrow1/4 tsp haldi.
arrow1/2 tsp red chilli powder.
arrow1 tsp jeera powder.
arrow1/2 tsp garam masala.
arrow2 tbsp curd.
arrow2 tbsp fresh cream.
arrow1 tsp curry leaves.
arrow1 tsp coriander powder.
arrowSalt, to taste.

  

Method:

  1. Wash all pulses and put them in a cooker. Add water,le. salt and haldi and cook. simmer the gas for 10 mins after 1 whistle
  2. heat some ghee in a pan. add jeera and onion. cook til a little brown. add ginger garlic paste, green chillie, tomatoes, coriander, garam masala, kasoori methi and salt and let it cook till done.
  3. Add this to the dal. Beat curd and add to the dal. add cream and coriander leaves.

Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
