Panchkuti Dal

Ingredients

25 gms arhar dal

25 gms moong dal

25 gms chana dal

25 gms urad dal

25 gms masar dal

20 ml oil

2 tsp ginger garlic paste

2 onions (finely chopped)

4 tomatoes (pureed)

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp red chili powder

1/2 tsp turmeric

Salt, to taste

  

Method:

1. Boil water and add dal. Add turmeric, salt and red chili powder.

2. After three whistles let it cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame.

3. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste.

4. Add onions and saute. Add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.

5. Mix it in the dal and cook for 5 minutes.

6. Serve hot with paranthas.
