Bread upuma
Ingredients1 loaf bread 4-5 onions (chopped) 2-3 green chillies (chopped) 2 tsp oil 1 1/4 cup water 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp lemon juice 1/2 cup suji
For tempering: 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 2 tsp chana dal Curry leaves
For garnish: Coriander leaves (chopped) Method:1. Cut bread slices into small pieces and keep aside. 2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When they crackle, add chana dal, curry leaves, chillies and onions. 3. Fry till the onions change colour. Add water, turmeric powder, lemon juice and salt. 4. When it starts boiling, add suji and stir for 2 minutes. 5. Add bread pieces and stir over medium heat till cooked and hot. 6. Remove from heat and garnish with coriander leaves. 7. Serve hot. |
